Fake Doctor Racket Busted in Rajasthan, Three FMG’s Arrested

The SOG arrested three “doctors” who had obtained their MBBS degrees abroad but failed FMG Exam to practice in india

Despite failing the exam multiple times, they used fake “Pass” certificates to register with the Rajasthan Medical Council (RMC) and secure internship spots in government hospitals.

The three arrested individuals were working as interns at the following government facilities:

  • Piyush Kumar Trivedi: Intern at Govt Medical College, Karauli
  • Devendra Singh Gurjar: Intern at Govt Medical College, Dausa
  • Shubham Gurjar: Intern at Rajiv Gandhi Hospital, Alwar.

The Modus Operandi

• Step 1: They completed MBBS degrees from foreign countries (e.g., Georgia) but could not pass the FMGE in India (failing in attempts during 2022–2024).

• Step 2: They allegedly paid a criminal network (bribes reported around ₹16 lakh) to procure forged FMGE “Pass” certificates.

• Step 3: Using these fakes, they obtained provisional registration from the Rajasthan Medical Council (RMC) and the National Medical Commission (NMC).

• Step 4: This registration allowed them to legally enter the state’s healthcare system as interns, treating patients despite being unqualified.

This is part of a wider investigation into the Rajasthan Medical Council. Recently, the RMC Registrar and other officials were suspended, and licenses of 8 other doctors were cancelled for similar document forgeries.

The SOG is currently interrogating the accused to identify the “masterminds” who supplied the fake certificates and to find if other unqualified doctors are hiding in the system.
