INI-CET July 2026 Image Rejections: AIIMS Issues Mid-Way Alert & How to Fix It

With the INI-CET July 2026 registration portal crossing the one-week mark, AIIMS New Delhi has issued a crucial midway advisory for all postgraduate medical aspirants. While there has been a massive surge in basic registrations, authorities have flagged that thousands of applications are currently sitting in the “pending” or “rejected” pile.

The culprit? Incorrect image uploads.

AIIMS is notoriously unforgiving when it comes to the Prospective Applicants Advanced Registration (PAAR) system. A slightly blurred thumbprint or a shadow in the background of your photo is enough to get your application tossed out. Aspirants are strongly urged to fix these errors immediately and not wait for the April 25 deadline, when the servers inevitably crash under heavy traffic.

How to Guarantee Your Images Get Accepted

Before you upload or re-upload your files, cross-check them against this exact checklist. AIIMS will not make exceptions.

1. The Passport Photograph (The 50-100 KB Rule)

• Background: Must be strictly white. No blue, grey, or textured backgrounds.

• Lighting: Ensure there are no shadows on your face or the background. Use flash if necessary, but avoid glare.

• Accessories: Remove thick-rimmed glasses, caps, or dark lenses. Your eyes and ears must be clearly visible.

• Dimensions: 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm. Keep the file size strictly between 50 KB and 100 KB in JPEG/JPG format.

2. The Signature (No Overwriting)

• Pen and Paper: Use a thick black or blue ink pen on a blank, unruled white sheet of paper.

• Format: Do not sign in all capital letters. Keep it to your standard running handwriting.

• Quality: Scan it properly. Photos of the signature taken from a phone camera often get rejected due to poor lighting or grey backgrounds.

• File Size: Strictly between 20 KB and 100 KB.

3. The Left Thumb Impression (The “Ridges” Rule)

• The Ink: Use a standard blue or black ink pad. Do not use marker pen ink.

• The Technique: Do not press down too hard, or the ink will pool and smudge. The absolute most important factor for AIIMS is that the lines and ridges of your thumbprint are clearly visible.

• File Size: Keep it between 20 KB and 100 KB.
