Male Nurse Arrested at Katuri Medical College for Secretly Filming Female Staff

A 25-year-old male nurse, identified as Rachapudi Anantha Venkata Sai, was arrested by the Guntur police for allegedly secretly filming female doctors and staff members.

The incident took place at Katuri Medical College and Hospital in the Prathipadu mandal near Guntur.

The accused allegedly positioned himself in a room adjacent to the women’s changing room near the operation theatre. Police investigations revealed he used a gap between the rooms to record videos and take photos of women while they were changing clothes.

The activity came to light when female staff members noticed a disturbance and a mobile phone in a suspicious position. They immediately alerted the hospital administration, who then lodged a complaint with the police.

The police have taken the accused into custody and seized his mobile phone.

The phone has been sent to a forensic science laboratory (FSL) to retrieve data. While there were rumors on social media about “hundreds of videos” being found, police officials stated that the accused had deleted files, and they are waiting for forensic results to confirm the extent of the recordings.

A case has been registered under relevant sections related to voyeurism and harassment.
