Jaipur Doctors Remove 7 Toothbrushes and 2 Wrenches from Man’s Stomach

In a bizarre and complex medical case out of Jaipur, Rajasthan, a team of surgeons has successfully removed seven toothbrushes and two iron wrenches from the stomach of a 26-year-old man.

The patient, hailing from Bhilwara, was admitted to the hospital in late December 2025 after suffering from severe abdominal pain and persistent vomiting. Upon examination, doctors were stunned to find a large collection of foreign objects lodged in his abdomen.

The surgical team, led by Dr. Tanmay Pareek, initially attempted to retrieve the items via endoscopy. However, due to the sharp edges of the wrenches and the sheer volume of the toothbrushes, they were forced to perform a major open surgery.

Medical professionals suspect the patient suffers from a psychiatric condition, possibly Pica syndrome, which causes a compulsion to swallow non-food items. The patient is currently reported to be in stable condition following the two-hour operation.
