Pune Medical Admission Fraud: 10 Students Duped of ₹1.3 Crore; 2 Arrested

The fraudsters operated from a physical office located in the Balewadi/Baner area of Pune.

The suspects gained access to sensitive data containing the contact details of students who had appeared for medical entrance exams.

They contacted these students, promising them “paid seats” or “management quota seats” in reputable medical colleges across Maharashtra, specifically mentioning institutions in Jalgaon.

To make the process seem legitimate, the accused called parents to their office, issued fake allotment letters with official-looking stamps, and even took students to college locations to sign “admission forms” in hotel rooms or nearby offices.
