Just three months ago, in early 2026, the administration had to take strict disciplinary action after a first-year (2025 batch) MBBS student reported a horrifying ordeal.

By exclusively targeting MBBS and MS/MD professionals, the government turns a blind eye to rampant quackery, ultimately jeopardizing the safety of vulnerable patients relying on rural healthcare networks.

The court noted that the e-evaluation system is so deeply flawed that checking the exact same answer sheet multiple times yielded completely different results.

The panel stated that granting six attempts provides a much more humane, student-friendly framework, ensuring that otherwise capable students are not forced to completely abandon their medical careers due to early academic setbacks.

The Court highlighted that there is no absolute “compulsion” to serve, as students always have the legal option to pay the agreed-upon penalty amount to break the bond.

The association is urging the government to strictly enforce these rules, penalize institutions that maintain forged duty rosters, and form a high-level committee to draft enforceable duty regulations.
