Official: NEET PG 2026 Tentative Exam Date Released for August 30

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has officially released the tentative schedule for the NEET PG 2026 and NEET MDS 2026 examinations. In a notification issued today, January 22, 2026, the board confirmed that the NEET PG 2026 exam will be conducted in August, continuing the trend of delayed academic cycles observed in recent years.

According to the new schedule, NEET PG 2026 will be held on August 30, 2026. This announcement provides much-needed clarity for aspirants who were anxious about the timeline following the disruptions in the 2025 cycle. Additionally, the cut-off date for internship completion for NEET PG 2026 eligibility has been set for September 30, 2026.

The board has advised candidates to keep track of the official website for the detailed Information Bulletin. Meanwhile, the NEET PG 2025 counseling is still underway, with Round 3 registration open until January 26, 2026, and results expected by January 29, 2026.
