Nalanda Police Bust NEET Solver Gang: 3 Arrested Including MBBS Student

The massive fallout from the NEET-UG 2026 cancellation continues as law enforcement cracks down on examination malpractice. The Nalanda Police in Bihar recently busted an organized NEET “solver gang” and arrested three individuals, including a second-year MBBS student.

The Routine Check Discovery

According to Rajgir DSP Sunil Kumar Singh, the arrests occurred during a high-alert vehicle inspection conducted just before the scheduled May 3 examination. While checking two suspicious vehicles on Pavapuri Road, police detained three individuals after discovering bundles of cash amounting to ₹2 lakh.

During a forensic examination of the suspects’ mobile phones the following morning, officers uncovered substantial incriminating digital evidence. The devices contained numerous NEET admit cards and detailed records of financial transactions, strongly suggesting a coordinated cheating racket.

Arrests and Ongoing Investigation

The primary accused has been identified as Awadhesh Kumar, a second-year MBBS student, along with his accomplices Aman Kumar Singh and Pankaj Kumar. Due to the timely intervention and heightened police alert across the region, these “solvers” (proxy examinees) were unable to reach the examination centers.

The police have seized the vehicles, cash, and mobile devices as part of the ongoing probe. Efforts are currently underway to identify the mastermind behind the operation and uncover the full extent of this interstate network by interrogating individuals linked to various examination centers.
