Rajasthan Police arrests 3 foreign MBBS graduates in ₹74 lakh FMGE fake certificate scam

In a major crackdown on credential fraud, authorities in Rajasthan have arrested three foreign medical graduates identified as Deepak Yadav (28) of Chomu, Raju Gurjar (28) of Deeg district, and Naresh Gurjar (30) of kathumar in Alwar district of Rajasthan, for allegedly paying nearly ₹74 lakh to procure fake documents linked to Foreign Medical Graduate (FMGE) compliance and internship eligibility. The accused, who reportedly completed MBBS from Kazakhstan, were attempting to secure internship placements in government medical colleges using forged certification pathways meant for screening clearance in India.

Investigation & Arrests

The trio was apprehended after discrepancies were flagged in their internship documentation and verification process. As per the SOG’s investigations, Yadav allegedly paid Rs 24 lakh for a forged FMG certificate to obtain an internship at Government Medical College in Dausa. Likewise, Raju Gurjar returned to India in 2021 from Kazakhstan after completing his MBBS degree. He also failed to clear the FMG screening exam despite multiple attempts. Raju is accused of paying Rs 27 lakh for a fake FMG certificate, which he used to secure an internship at the Government Medical College in Hanumangarh. Allegedly, Naresh also paid Rs 23 lakh to obtain a fraudulent FMG certificate and completed his internship at the Government Medical College in Alwar. Authorities suspect a wider racket operating across state borders, with the involvement of officials and employees within the RMC itself.

Over 100 doctors with forged certificate

100 doctors who allegedly procured forged FMG certificates to secure internships and RMC registration,  said IG (SOG) Ajay Pal Lamba . The case has already resulted in the arrest of former RMC registrar Rajesh Sharma, UDC Akhilesh Mathur, LDC Farhan Hasan, alleged network mastermind Bhanaram Mali, and 17 foreign medical graduates. As per the SOG, Bhanaram reportedly charged between Rs 20 lakh and Rs 30 lakh per candidate to arrange fraudulent FMG certificates and facilitate their registration with the RMC.
