Narayan Medical college Bihar: MBBS Student Dies After Hospital Admission under Mysterious circumstances, Investigation Underway
A 26-year-old third-year MBBS student at Narayan Medical College and Hospital, Jamuhar, Rohtas, Bihar, died under unexplained circumstances after being admitted to the institution’s hospital. According to reports published on 9 June 2026, the college administration informed the student’s family that his health had suddenly deteriorated and he was receiving treatment. However, the time relatives reached the campus, the student had already died.
Family Alleges No Prior Illness
The deceased, a resident of Madhepura district, had reportedly been pursuing his MBBS degree at the institution for the past three years. Family members have publicly questioned the circumstances surrounding the death, stating that he had no known serious illness and that they were unaware of any medical condition that could explain such a rapid deterioration. The case has triggered concerns among students and local residents, with demands for clarity regarding the events preceding the hospitalization.

Medical Board Formed, Post-Mortem Awaited
According to Atulesh Jha, ASP , Dehri Rohtas the investigation is underway and the body has been sent for post-mortem examination. Given the sensitivity of the case, authorities constituted a special medical board to conduct the autopsy and determine the exact cause of death. Officials have stated that no definitive conclusions can be drawn until the post-mortem findings are available.
