Shocking Video: Mob Thrashes Doctor in Dholpur After Patient’s Death; 6 Detained

A doctor at a hospital in Dholpur, Rajasthan, was brutally assaulted by a mob comprising the relatives of a deceased patient. The attack was captured on CCTV/video, showing approximately 10 individuals punching and thrashing the medical professional.

The Context: The conflict arose following the death of a 27-year-old woman. According to reports:

• The woman had recently delivered a baby at the hospital and was discharged.

• Her health deteriorated after returning home the same evening.

• She was brought back to the hospital but unfortunately passed away.

The Aftermath: Following the news of her death, a mob of approximately 20-25 people (including relatives) gathered. They forcibly entered the hospital and assaulted Dr. Jaiswal.

Reports indicate Dr. Jaiswal was not the treating physician for the deceased woman. He was merely present in the hospital for an emergency surgery when the mob entered and attacked him..

Police have since intervened and detained at least six individuals in connection with the violence. The police have registered a case citing BNS Section 126 and Section 170.
